Friday Night

Well it's the night before our big day. Hopefully everyone is busy carbo-loading then turning in for a full night's sleep. As Sergei Bubka, Ukrainian pole vaulter in the 1988 Summer Olympics, said, "The Olympics are always a special competition. It is very difficult to predict what will happen". I know we have all been training hard almost half our lives for this day and I just want to wish everyone luck. There might be favorites heading into tomorrow, but you never know what the day will bring. And remember, "the most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing is life is not conquering but fighting well". If those words are good enough for Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games, they are most certainly good enough for us. So let's get out there and give it our best!

who will be the first to pass out? My money is on Kallai. I once witnessed him peak after 45 minutes of a power hour.
