Hello athletes! Just a reminder that if each team has their money turned in by 9/1 they will receive 5 extra points.

So let's break this down:
$30 per person
$120 per team
*This is a nonrefundable entry fee

If 1, 2, or 3 persons on your team give me money you receive 0 points. If 4 persons give me money, your team is awarded 5 points.

Some of you out there in cyberland may be a little concerned/confused/upset about the choice of Busch Light for the Olympics. Have no fear. Busch Light is a beer that most of us don't choose to drink, so we are all on a level playing field. Bud or Miller would give certain participants a definite advantage. Busch Light is also very very cheap. This means more money for Gold, Silver, Bronze.

To allay all of your fears I've decided to post pictures of real, honest, awesome people enjoying some good old fashioned Busch Light. Once you see how much fun Busch brings to the party, you might soon find yourself ordering a nice cool can on your own. No need to wait for September 26th.

Events

I'm open to any and all suggestions regarding events at this years Olympics. I can tell you right now that there will not be a Loose Case Race (I'm sure everyone is breathing a sigh of relief). Otherwise, I think the events from last year seemed to run pretty well. If you have any opinions about things to improve upon or any brand new, fun, exciting events that we just have to have, let me know.

The entry fee this year is $30 per person. This will include all of your beer and food and will hopefully lead to a substantial pot for the winning team.

Last year I was hoping that the prize pool would be around $200 and it didn't quite work out that way, but I'm going to shoot for $200 again this year. Fingers crossed that it's more.

Like last year, teams that submit their full entry fees early will be awarded extra points. So if I have $120 from your team by September 1, your team will receive 5 additional points.

• This is worth it considering last year the 2nd and 3rd place teams ended with the same amount of points and while Iceland was the clear winner, it all became very close at the end.
