Last Minute
Random last minute changes / additions:
Baseball: 7 run mercy rule. There is going to be a white board for the table. Bounce your quarter off of the white board. The cups need to be lined up behind the line marked baseball. I'm making sure the quarters are sanitized.
Boat Race: each team will use 5 beers in the boat race. That equals 1/2 beer in each cup.
Bags: If you are throwing and you have 9 points and you sink a bag during your turn that's fine. The players will switch out the round after 10 points has been scored.
Flip Cup: Try to fill each cup to around 1 inch.
Beer Pong: When throwing your hand cannot cross the front of your pyramid. You can throw from an angle but again, your hand can't cross that imaginary line.
Twister: No shoving.

Tie Breaker
Oh god, I hope this doesn't happen, but if there is a tie for the top three teams it's going to be solved like this.
There is going to be a box. You're going to stand X amount of feet away from box. One at a time you will throw a beer. 1st team to make it in the box (with opposing team unable to match) wins.

Sportmanship
Last year everything went so smoothly (Leslie was the only one to take a punch, right?), let's try for a repeat. If someone pisses you off, so what? You're both drunk. If someone is cheating, talk to them about it, and only if necessary bring in a referee. Play by the rules as best you can, I know some of them are a little confusing. Try to record your own scores for events where there are scoreboards and markers. Let's just be good sports about everything. Keep in mind how ridiculous all of this is. You're soaked, you're drunk, and now you're up for a wheelbarrow race.
So, in true Olympic form, let's put aside our differences and come together in the spirit of the games.

Tick Tock
Opening Ceremonies start at 12:30pm. Why doesn't everyone show up at my house around 12:15 so we can get this show on the road.
Updates
I updated the rules section. Be sure to reread before Saturday.
At this point I think I'm done with additional rules. If I do change something else before Saturday I'll let you know.

Caecus Madidus*
Here's the deal with the getting sick question:
-You are allowed to puke as many times as you wish.**
-The best thing would be to vomit in between sips and just keep right on drinking. *** However it won't work that way for all of us soo...
-If you get sick you have 15 minutes to reenter the competition. If at that point you are still unable to compete your team will have to move on without you.
-You can reenter at the start of any later event.
-You don't get a fresh 15 minutes for every game.
ex/ You get sick at the end of round 3 of Flip Cup. After 15 minutes you are still unable to play so round 4 begins. At the start of round 5 either you're ready or you have to wait until round 6, and so on and so forth. It's not like everyone has to wait 15 minutes for you in round 4 then wait 15 more minutes in round 5.
Does this make sense? Am I being clear?
-There will be a penalty for having a player unable to compete. See below.
-Obviously there will be things like bathroom breaks (The bathroom is in my basement by the way. No one is allowed in my actual house.) and food breaks and just general breaks. Just don't be crazy about it. Get back to the games as fast as possible.
-If another team raises concern about a teammates absence you have 5 minutes to get them back to the table or else the competition will start without them.
-If we have to get the judges involved we will, but let's be adults about all of this. Have fun and remember that you are drinking Busch Light, for money, in a backyard.
Penalties:
Beer Bong, 4x4 Relay
For every player not able to compete 30 seconds will be added to the team's final time. A player from your team must compete twice to make up for your absence.
Individual Events
If you are passed out while your individual event is taking place you get a scratch
Bean Bags
If you can't participate your bags can't be thrown. Normally 4 bags are thrown per round. If you're missing a player only 2 bags can be thrown per round.
This is while that player should be throwing. So either pts. 1-10 will only have 2 bags thrown or pts. 11-21 will have 2 bags thrown.
Baseball
For every player that is passed out for baseball their team misses an inning of batting.
Flip Cup
Your team will drink double.
Beer Pong
Your team is eliminated.
I think I wrote it best last year:
* How about that title? Awesome right?
** Nut took great advantage of this rule last year.

Important
Each team needs to designate an official team captain and I need his/her e-mail. I'm serious about this...if I don't have a team captain for your team by noon Friday I'm DEDUCTING 10 POINTS from your final score.
Being team captain isn't a big deal; just a few e-mails and a smidgen of responsibility. Don't be nervous.

Rules
A lot of the rules will be the same as last year. There may be some minor tweaking over the next couple of days but for the most part this will be it. If you have any comments or ideas let me know, I'll consider anything.
Case Race
All team members work together to finish their case of beer the fastest. Each team has the option of moving their beer from cans to a regulation cup. No beer bonging, shot gunning, etc. allowed. There is a 40 minute time limit for the case race.
Beer Bong
A team lines up. Each team member prepares a beer bong. Stop watch is started and the 1st player bongs a beer. When beer is finished a referee will signal player 2 to begin his/her beer bong. This continues until last player is finished bonging his/her beer and the stop watch is stopped. Fastest time wins. If an excessive amount of beer is spilled the player will need to bong a new beer. It is up to the referee's discretion to determine just what an excessive amount is.
*If hygiene is a concern, a team may bring their own beer bongs.
Bean Bags
Each team member participates. Players A,B,C,D. Players A&B will throw until 10 pts are earned. If you score 10 points in the middle of the round continue to play until round is over. Players C and D will begin at start of next round. Once players A&B score 10 points, players C&D substitute in and play the remainder of the game. 1st team to score 21 points wins. At the end of each round, the team that does not score must drink the number of points scored.
ex/ Team 1 gets 4 bags on board. Team 2 sinks 1 bag and misses board with the remaining 3 bags. Team 1 scored 1 point for this round, so everyone on Team 2 must take one drink.
In the event of a shut out, 21-0, every player on loosing team must slam a beer.
Baseball
This is a single elimination tournament competition. Three innings will be played for each round. At the end of three innings the team with the most runs scored moves onto the next round. Four glasses are in a line, stacked back to back. The glasses represent baseball hits (closest = single, farthest = home run, 2 middle glasses = double & triple respectively). The 'single' glass has least amount of beer while the 'home run' has the most beer. Each team tries to bounce a quarter into one of the filled glasses. If a quarter goes in a glass the opposing team must drink that glass and all the glasses below it. All glasses must be finished and are immediately refilled before next batter throws his/her quarter. Each glass will be marked with a fill line. People on each team need to establish a batting order and stick to it when shooting their quarters. If someone misses a glass that counts as an out. 3 outs and it's the other team's turn to bat. So three misses = your batting is over. This goes on for three innings. Scoring is simple, runs are driven in by teammates forcing them in with numerous hits (i.e. a single followed by a triple scores a run). When the game has finished, runs are tallied and loosing team has to drink all the cups one more time.
There is a 7 run mercy rule in effect.
*There was some confusion last year about how close to the cups you are able to bounce your quarter. There will be a white board on the table. The quarter must be bounced off of this board.
Try to keep track of the quarters. I need them back for parking meters :)
Flip Cup
This is a round robin tournament style competition. A team wins each round by winning best of five. Each set of teams will decided how they would like to start the game. Ex/tap, table, drink or whatever. Fill the cups however high you would normally fill them. Don't skimp, another team can call you out on this. Let's say around 1 inches.
Beer Pong
This is a double elimination tournament style competition. Players A, B, C, D. 1st round players A&B throw. 2nd round players C&D throw. This pattern continues until game is finished. 4 beers per team per round. 2 re-racks per game. If ball is bounced in, 2 cups are eliminated (but opposing team can knock ball away). If both players sink they get to throw again. No 'fingering' or 'blowing'. If all four players on Team A sink their balls in a row (which means over the course of two turns) All four balls are sent back and they get another throw.
Your hand can not cross the front of your pyramid. You can shoot from an angle but your hand still can't clear that imaginary line.
*I remember arguments starting over beer pong last year, but I can't remember what they were about. Anyone want to remind me so I can address the issues before Saturday?
Team Relay
Event 1: Puzzle Master
Drink a beer then assemble the puzzle at your station. When puzzle is completed run to station #2 and tag your teammate. Once teammate is tagged wait at station 4.
Event 2: Bat Spins
Once Olympian A tags you, drink your beer. Then spin around the bat 7 times, run and tag Olympians C&D. Wait at station 4
Event 3: Wheelbarrow
Once tagged by Olympian C drink your beers. Begin a human wheelbarrow race to the final station.
Event 4: Team Building
Once all four teammates are assembled drink remaining four beers. If a significant amount of beer is spilled (again, up to the referees discretion) you will have to re pour and drink again.
Team with the fastest time wins.
Boat Races
Two teams line up across from each other. Each player has beer poured into 2 cups. Players A start by drinking first cup. When Players A are finished, Players B begin drinking one of their cups. When Players B are finished, Players C drink one of their cups. Players D (the anchors) drinks both of their cups once Players C are finished with their first beer. After Players D drink both cups, Players C finishes the second cup, then Players B, then Players A. The first team to have all of their beer finished wins.
Teams decide how they want to begin the game. Same as Flip Cup, above.
Each team will use a total of 5 beers for the boat race. That means 1/2 beer per cup.
This video should help clarify any questions.
You will be able to stand at the Olympics and the anchors are only required to drink 2 beers.
*In this video notice how the anchor on the left struggles with his second beer. His teammate comes to his rescue and drinks both his and the anchor's second beer. This is not going to fly at the Olympics. Strategize before deciding on your anchor. If he/she is having a hard time finishing, tough. Your team will just have to wait it out.
Individual Events
Four individual events will be taking place this year. These events must be divided evenly between teammates. One team member for each event. Due to the fact that these are individual events, fewer points will be awarded for each event.
Limbo
Don't knock over the limbo stick. First person to knock it over is out, until only one ultimate limboer remains. We all know how this works, right? Points are awarded in order of elimination.
If you knock the stick over the remaining players (or at least one player) must be able to clear the stick in order for you to be eliminated.
Twister
Last player upright wins. Points will be awarded in order of falls. One team member from each team participates. No shoving allowed.
Jenga
One player from each team competes. Each team takes turns removing pieces. Player that does not knock over blocks wins. Only one hand may be used during each turn. It is OK to nudge pieces, checking if it is loose, but if it moves you must move it back to it's original position.
The winning player must assemble the game for the next group up.
*If the loser wants to help that would be great, otherwise you can go off and lick your wounds.
Horse
One player from each team competes. Drinking can be incorporated into called shots. Points will be awarded in the order players are eliminated. My basketball hoop is crooked, just to let you all know.
